Flamenco Festival 2006

 The
week of January 23rd to 29th the city of Nimes, France will
hold its Flamenco Festival. Some of flamenco’s greatest
artists such as Luis el Zambo, Moraíto, Diego Carrasco
from jerez, Seville dancer Israel Galván and the
Farruco family will grace the stages of the Teatro Odeon
and the Nimes Theater. The younger generation will be represented
by such artists as guitarist Juan Diego and the most recent
winner of the Jerez guitar contest Antonio Rey as well as
winners of the Festival de la Unión, Miguel de Tena
and Iván Vargas.
