The program of the Gira del Norte 2010 organized each year by Flamenco de Hoy in a variety of locations throughout the north of Spain, has just been unveiled and this year is dedicated to the memory of singer Rafael Romero “El Gallina” on the centennial of his birth.
This year’s tour returns to the cities of Barakaldo, Vitoria, Logroño, Burgos and Zaragoza, while Zaragoza has been eliminated and the Madrid town of Rivas Vaciamadrid has been added.
Singer Mayte Martín opens the tour in Logroño, and returns to Burgos. Jerez singers Jesús Méndez and Macanita, Canela de San Roque, Juan José Amador and Carmen Corpas will tour the rest of the cities and form the bulk of the program.
The program is rounded out with Israel Galván’s show “La Edad de Oro” with Fernando Terremoto and Alfredo Lagos in Vitoria, José Menese and the show Jerez y los Puertos in the city of Zaragoza.
