The list of nominees for the Latin Grammy was announced.
In the category of flamenco, Argentina, with “Un Viaje por el Cante”, is one of the candidates, with the only record to have been published by an independent record company.
The rest of the candidates include Vicente Amigo with “Tierra” from Sony, José Mercé with “Mi única llave” and Estrella Morente with “Autorretrato” from Emi Music Spain and Miguel Poveda “Real” and Tomatito “Soy flamenco” from Universal Music.
Diego el Cigala is also nominated in the category of Tango for his recent recording “Romance de la Luna Tucumana”.
Winners will be chosen and prizes presented next November 21st in the United States.
