“Flamenco Hoy” Critics Prizes 20121. Winners and finalists 2011 and 2012

Premios Flamenco Hoy

Premios Flamenco Hoy

List of finalists and winners of the critics' prizes “Flamenco Hoy” for the year 2012, to be presented November 6th in “Cantares”, the refurbished tablao formerly known as Corral de la Pacheca.

On November 6th the winners’ gala and presentation of the prizes “Flamenco Hoy” for 2012 will take place.  The prizes for 2011 will also be presented since last year’s prizes were not awarded.

This year was not easy either, as the original plan was to stage the awards ceremony in Lorca, but the municipal government of that city cancelled the agreement less than two weeks before the date.

Finally it was the recently opened tablao “Cantares”, formerly “Corral de la Pacheca” that will be the venue.

The “Flamenco Hoy” prizes have been celebrated since the end of the 90s and are chosen by 50 critics with the coordination of Jose Manuel Fernandez.

This year DeFlamenco.com won in the category of Mejor Labor de Difusión del Flamenco (best distribution of information), and we wish to share the prize with our colleague Manuel Moraga who was a finalist with his radio program  'El Callejón del cante' broadcast by Radio Exterior de Espana, with the web Aireflamenco.com, also a finalist, and with all our readers who passionately follow flamenco day after day.

DeFlamenco has been publishing via Internet since November of 2000, so we are now celebrating our thirteenth year thanks to our collaborators, Estela Zatania, Manuel Moraga, Pablo San Nicasio, Silvia Cruz Lapeña, Antonio Conde, Gonzalo Montaño Peña, Paco Manzano, Rubén Gutiérrez and Ana Palma who one way or another have been with us throughout the years.  Thank you everyone.
