In the French city of Nimes the first Bulerías Singing and Verse Contest has been organized for November 8th and 9th, 2013, at the Milonga del Angel.
The prize for singing is 1000 euros, and for the winning verse, 500 euros.
All contestants will have their food and board paid, and the deadline for inscription goes until October 20th, 2013, after which time the selection process begins.
O Flamenco (oflamenco.com) is organizing both contests with the participation of SACEM (French society of authors), les éditions du Diable Vauvert and the Hotel Imperator.
In addition to the contest, there will be performances by dancer “El Caramelo” and Fernando de la Morena, the phenomenal Jerez singer.
