XIII Festival Flamenco Caja Madrid 2005 – COMPLETE PROGRAM

Once again the Festival Flamenco Caja Madrid, one of the most important flamenco events in Spain’s capital, will offer a program of conferences and recitals brimming with today’s most important stars.

Between the 8th and the 11th of February there will be a series of preliminary
activities in the Auditorium of the Casa Encendida. The program of live
performances includes that universal man from Granada, Enrique Morente
with his concert titled «La belleza de la creación»
(‘the beauty of creation’). Other participating singers are
Rancapino, el Salmonete de Jerez, Carmen Linares, José de la Tomasa
and José Menese. The evening of Wednesday the 16th brings veteran
dancer El Güito and the presentation of the distinction Calle de
Alcalá 2005 to Mario Maya and Pilar López. Israel Galván’s
concert rounds out the dance offering.

The guitar department will be amply covered by Tomatito, and the so-called
«new tendencies» will be present in the person of pianist Dorantes with
the collaboration of Esperanza Fernández, and closing out the festival
the night of Saturday the 19th, Chano Domínguez and his group.
