Vicente Amigo at the Cirque d'Hiver de París.

On June 18th Vicente Amigo begins a tour of France where he will present his record ‘Un momento en el sonido’.

Satuday, June 18th, Vicente Amigo will be at the legendary Cirque d’Hiver
in Paris to kick of a tour of France ending July 15th at Argeles Sur Mer.
Amigo will be presenting his most recent recording, “Un momento
en el sonido”.

“Without a doubt he is the maestro of flamenco guitar”. This
is how French journalists announced his presentation at the Cirque d’Hiver
in the nation’s capital. In addition to mentioning the Grammy the
guitarist won in 2001, it was noted that “He is one of the most
brilliant flamenco guitarists of the new generation, while maintaining
his purity and elegance”.

“I try to send out a new message and still be who I’ve always
been. This is a very serious recording, and very flamenco” says
Vicente Amigo. Bulerías, soleá, farruca, taranta, tangos,
rumba and bolero are the forms Vicente includes on this record. The album
is the fifth in the Cordoban guitarist’s solo career which flamencologist
José Manuel Gamboa has described as “splendiferous”.

Vicente Amigo’s French tour is a continuation of what he has been
doing on international stages. His performance at the Cirque d’Hiver
in Paris comes after a tour of Japan in which the guitarist appeared in
Nigata, Kioto, Osaka, Iwate and Tokyo with great success.
