Tenth anniversary Mártires del Compás

The legendary Sevilla group celebrates with a new release: «10 años de Mártires»

Ten years after their debut,
with nothing but hard work to build their career, and plenty of freedom,
the group headed by Chico Ocaña, the Cádiz poet, has finally
accumulated all the ingredients for qualifying as a mainstream group.

After moving from San Roque to Seville, Chico developed his creative
tendencies along with the most ‘subversive’ musicians of the
era, and from that early experimentation came new ideas and relationships
with other types of music, all culminating in the birth of Mártires
del Compás in 1995.

Now their entire discography has been assembled in two formats:

– Luxury Double Digipak Edition (CD + DVD). Their biggest hits, selected
by the group itself, to honor a career that has been a source of inspiration
for many of those who are now at the forefront. To present this project
appropriately, the Mariscal Studio designed this special double digipack,
a delicate but surprising work, with the characteristic quality of the
Catalonian designer.

Among other items, the DVD includes an extensive documentary of more
than 40 minutes. A biographical rundown of the Mártires career
which includes anecdotes, musings…

Spanish Radio and Television (RTVE) collaborated supplying video material
from some of the Mártires’ appearances, and there’s
a summary of performances offered via Radio 3.

– One unified box with the entire discography. Warner managed to recuperate
albums from all the companies where they worked in order to offer this
complete collection.
