Program of the Flamenco Thursdays of the Fundación Cajasol, autumn 2013

Jueves Flamencos

Jueves Flamencos

The thirteenth edition of the series Jueves Flamencos of the Fundación Cajasol has presented the program for this autumn 2013, with the presence of many of the scheduled performers.

This marks the official opening of the autumn season, one of the most prestigious cultural programs sponsored by the Fundación Cajasol, and one of the most popular.

This year’s program is made up of nine shows featuring major artists from the world of flamenco, as well as young hopefuls, an exceptional combination of voice and dance, youth and maturity.
The series begins October 10th with Manuel Moreno “El Pele”, accompanied on guitar by Manuel Silveria, and with the special collaboration of dancer El Güito.

Young Iván Vargas follows with all the flavor of the caves of Granada, backed up by musicians from Seville and Morón de la Frontera.
From the Extremadura región, Badajoz will present two different generations of artists with the maestro Guadiana, and young Pedro Cintas.
Guitarist and producer José Quevedo “El Bolita” will present his first record, FLUYE.

Singer Rocío Bazán, winner of the Giraldillo for best young singer, now returns to Seville in full artistic maturity with her show “Desde el Alma Hasta la Boca”.

“Pastora Baila en Sevilla” is the daring show of Pastora Galván, and promises to be a very special evening.

An unusual show called “POLIVALENTES” highlights the versatility of some familiar flamenco performers who sing, dance and play guitar: Juan José Amador, Ramón Amador, Pepe Torres and David Lavis.

The series also includes a tribute to Miguel de Molina by Seville choreographer Pilar Astola, and the Zambomba of the Barrio de San Miguel from Jerez.
