Eight singers, two of them going for the Lámpara Minera, two dancers and two instrumentalists will compete tonight in the Grand Finale of the Festival del Cante de las Minas
The jury of the 55th edition of the Festival del Cante de Las Minas has released the names of the finalists for tonight's grand finale. Isabel Fátima Guerrero, Montserrat Pérez, María Antonia Fernández “Toñi Fernández”, Rocío Crespillo Luna “Rocío Luna”, Reyes Diaz, Amparo Isabel Heredia “La Repompilla”, Antonio José Mejías and María José Pérez are the finalists in singing. The latter two, Mejías and Pérez, are vying for the contest's most important prize, the Lámpara Minera.
In the area of dance, the fortunate finalists are Alba Heredia Heredia and Amador Rojas Falcón, while in flamenco instrumentals, the finalists are pianist Ildefonso Aroca Morenno, and saxophonist Gautama del Campo Peñalver.
Among the singing finalists is Reyes Diaz Ruiz, a nine-year-old child from Los Palacios, Seville.
The jury declared the guitar prize void.
