In addition to her ability, already demonstrated in countless concerts, add her extensive repertoire, from the most dramatic siguiriya to the most gypsy tangos, as well as her versatility in lending her voice to disparate musical aesthetics.

On her new album she sings and puts music to the poetry and prose of Nobel prize-winner from Portugal, José Saramago under the direction of pianist and composer David Dorantes, and with the collaboration of well-known composers such as José Miguel Évora and Luis Pastor, in addition to Dorantes himself.

Esperanza Fernández is currently one of the best flamenco singers, with a voice rich in shading and elegance that allows her to handle the most traditional flamenco as well as experimental music or classic pieces such as “La Vida Breve”, “El Amor Brujo”and “Siete Canciones Españoles”, and to participate in the revival of the opera “Margot” of Joaquín Turina (Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, 1999).
