Last year the French government awarded maestro Enrique Morente its highest distinction when they named him Knight of the Legion of Honor. The official ceremony of presentation was to have taken place on December 17th, but on the 13th destiny stepped in and changed everyone’s plans.

On May 31st, 2011, Aurora Carbonell, wife of Enrique Morente, and his children Enrique and Soleá, collected the commemorative insignia “Knight of the Legion of Honor” from the French embassador to Spain, Bruno Delaye. |
