The Cante de las Minas Foundation has signed a cooperation agreement with the High Commission for Marca España to export “Marca España” abroad via flamenco. The Casa del Mediterráneo is also involved in the agreement.
By way of the label “Las Minas Flamenco Tour” created by the Cante de las Minas Foundation, all events that take place overseas will be presented under the umbrella of “Marca España Event”. Several shows have already been presented in Brussels, Luxemburg and India. Next year in India the first Festival Cante de las Minas will be held away from its place of origin, La Unión (Murcia), and similar presentations are also planned in Japan and other countries and continents which Francisco Bernabé, president of the Foundation and mayor of La Unión is not yet ready to reveal.
Bernabé aims to make “Las Minas Flamenco Tour” a kind of “Rock in Río” for flamenco, to offer the best flamenco and become a cultural reference for Spain abroad.
