'Caballeros Flamencos' una visión de Paco Manzano

At the inauguration of the series “A Corazón Abierto” currently being celebrated at Madrid’s Círculo de Bellas Artes, Paco Manzano presented his book “Caballeros Flamencos”.

Some of the photographs were
on display at the Círculo de Bellas Artes and will continue for
the rest of the week.

A project of Paco Manzano’s, in collaboration with José
Manuel Gamboa, Juan Verdú and the team Rebelars, edited by Everest,
has finally borne fruit. From the author’s vast photographic collection,
authentic CABALLEROS FLAMENCOS were selected for the first book of a trilogy
featuring flamenco artists borne before and during the nineteen-fifties
and which will also include DAMAS FLAMENCA and LOS NUEVOS TALENTOS.

José Manuel Gamboa and Juan Verdú accompanied Paco Manzano,
who was a bit nervous, and presented the book as well as the author himself
who on this occasion was at the other side of the camera. The author signed
numerous copies of his work for those present.

Gamboa and Verdú gave Paco Manzano’s biographical details,
including his beginnings in flamenco, alluding to his great ability, the
methods used and assorted anecdotes from three decades of Madrid flamenco.
