Premiering: Friday, March 12th at 6 p. m.

Lecture: Anthropological and social aspects in Andalusian Holy Week.
Prof. Luis Giron-Negron

Conducted in English.

2.- Flamenco Seminar: Lyrical and Cultural Traditions in Flamenco.

Thursday at 6 p. m., March 18.
Lecture: Flamenco lyrics and Spanish Traditional Poetry from the Middle
Age. Prof. Ramon Soler Diaz
Conducted in Spanish. After the lecture a recital of Flamenco Music will
be place with Tomas de Perrate (singer) and Antonio Moya (guitarist).

Refreshments will be served.

Friday at 6 p.m., March 19.
Lecture: The Contribution of the Gypsies to Cante Flamenco. Prof. Pierre
Lefranc.
Conducted in English. After the lecture a recital of Flamenco Music will
be place with Tomas de Perrate (singer) and Antonio Moya (guitarist).

3.- Colloquium: Andalucia, culture and image.

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 20, in Ticknor Lounge and Fong
Auditorium (Boyston Hall).

I Lecture: Andalucia and its Literature during the Siglo de Oro. Prof.
Piedad Bolaños Donoso. Conducted in Spanish.
II Lecture: Southern Exposure: Early Tourism and Spanish National Identity.
Prof. Luis Cifuentes. Conducted in English.
III Lecture: Andalucía finisecular. El periodo posfranquista. Antonio
Soler, premio Nadal de Novela, 2004. Conducted in Spanish.
